Middle Story September 2018 Tech Demo
A downloadable game
This is just a short technical demonstration of an upcoming RPG being made in RPG Maker MV. It's mainly for showing off the battle system and custscene work.
The September Update includes the following changes:
1) The implementation of a timed hit system, courtesy of scripts made by SRDude. Attacks and Skills required proper timing to be effective.
2) Building off of the above, I've created a Weapon Art system. Weapon Arts are physical attacks that hit enemies multiple times for further Fury gain. Effective mastery of weapon arts leads to faster Fury gain overtime.
3) A shared AP Gauge. Instead of individual AP bars, the part has a shared pool of AP, similar to the system seen in Super Mario RPG. For combat effectiveness, you need to charge up AP in such a way as to prioritize certain abilities over others.
4) 8-directional movement for getting around faster.
5) Various changes to the Menu screens.
6) Various tricks to make the overall file size smaller, even if it isn't smaller by much.

Install instructions
In order for saving and going into options to work properly, do the following:
1) Put the .exe file into a folder, called whatever you want (I call it MiddleStoryDemo)
2) In that big folder, create a second folder beside the .exe, and call it "www".
3) Inside "www", create another folder called "save"
No Runtime Package will be necessary.
